The day after the wedding the Disneyana Fan Club hosted a luncheon to honour Margaret. A long-time member, Margaret was soon to be leaving Southern California for Florida, so the event was planned. We managed to get tickets which turned out to be a wonderful thing! Held at The Smokehouse Restaurant in Universal City (with valet parking only), it was to be quite the event. Parking is a real problem in this neck of the woods!

Margaret gathered the family to process into the room first (our tables were all reserved) and then the fan club members filled in the rest of the room. It was a tight fit! I spoke with one who had come in from Texas for the Afternoon with a Pixie!

As lunch progressed various people spoke about Margaret, often with tears in their eyes. A new Peter Pan film is apparently in the works, and one of the singers performed three songs from it, making even my uncle's eyes to glisten. A short film was made of photos and clips from Margaret's career, from the Little Rascals to Tinker Bell to The Andy Griffith Show and many others.

Rick Law, the young man from Disney, put together, with Margaret's help, a wonderful gift for everyone present for everyone in attendance. Tinker Bell has her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, so he painted a special star for Tink that was printed and personally signed for everyone present. As we got two I was able to give the extra to Mum & Dad.

Also, Margaret donated a lot of her Tinker Bell memorabilia to the fan club for a silent auction to benefit the fan club. I only bid on one item, and amazingly got it! Tink, Mickey and Minnie - how could I go wrong???

Sadly it was time to leave sunny Southern California and head home to snowy Colorado. But the Pixie Dusted Fairytale lives on.....
